Our family participated in our first benefit ride today! We took part in Joel's Ride. The proceeds go to local community organizations such as food pantries and a Women's shelter here in Johnson County.
The ride was 10 miles long- we opted for this opposed to the 25 mile ride. It was along the streets in a fancy part of town so we got to see some really nice homes along with some great open land. It took us one hour to ride 10 miles. I was pretty impressed. We also were able to get Jackson fitted for a new helmet by some professionals that should fit PERFECT!
It was a great ride and we really enjoyed the exercise along with the opportunity to help others!
We continue to enjoy our weekly rides- Jackson gets most of the attention in his bright yellow buggy!
