Justin's Promotion

Justin is now Senior Manager of Field Operations for the Great Plains Division of TMobile and we are so proud of him. He now reports directly to a Vice President/ General Manager of the company and has an "office" job. This means the end of travel for Justin (except for a few trips here and there). He has some big responsibilities but he is really excited.

Justin has been working so hard and this position is something that he really wanted. We are so excited for him. Still some big changes to come with his company but for now we are very excited about his promotion. We are also happy that a very stressful March has come to an end. We have been very lucky that everything turned out so well for our family and we made it through one of the hardest months yet.

Boys Weekend

While I was out of town this weekend Jackson and Justin had a great time! They started the weekend with Fish Fry at our church where Jackson ate 4 pieces of pizza and Justin commented they should consider not letting "kids eat free." On Saturday they went to the gym, enjoyed a puppet show production of "Jack and the Bean Stock", went to church and then rode bikes to dinner (almost getting stuck in the rain). On Sunday they went to the gym (again) and then Justin took Jackson on a 3 plus mile bike ride. They both had so much fun. I missed them so much but I am so happy for their bonding time. They say they missed me but......
Also Jackson has a bad cough so they didn't get much sleep but did enjoy cuddles on the couch while catching some basketball games!

I am pretty sure he grew up a ton in the 48 hours I was gone.

Emily's Shower and Bachelorette Party

This weekend we celebrated Emily's soon to be big day with a bridal shower and a bachelorette party. It was a fun weekend in St. Louis.
The invitation set the mood for the event
The bridesmaids wore black and pearls

We planned a Breakfast at Tiffany's Themed event for Emily.
The fabulous food

We served breakfast food at the shower to include Homemade Egg, Cheese and Bacon Biscuits, French Toast Sticks with Pomegranate dipping sauce, Homemade Frosted Cinnamon Rolls, Bacon Wrapped Brown Sugar Sausages and of course yummy cupcakes. We also created a fabulous champagne infusion bar with a variety of wonderful fruit juices. Everything was touched with Tiffany blue and sparkly diamonds. It for sure will be an event to remember!

Cupcakes with "Top 10 Things Ben Loves about Emily"

We ended the evening with a Bachelorette party at the Laminar Place in Downtown St. Louis- of course we actually ended the night with very sore feet after dancing for hours on heels that were just way to high!

Emily has a great group of friends and family that helped us celebrate in style.

Reading with Dad

Jackson really enjoys snuggling on the couch before nap time. He especially likes to read to us. Justin would love it if Jackson just fell asleep and took a nap with him.

Crazy Hair Pictures

Justin always takes care of brushing teeth and hair at night. Some nights these boys just laugh as Justin creates goofy hair styles... this is Jackson with an "Edward" hair style- a character form one of my favorite movies.

These silly boys always have fun.

Just some things to remember

I feel like I am always posting fun pictures or silly stories which are great things to remember and share. But often times through the day Jackson does or says something that I just always want to remember. Really I want to remember every minute because it is going to fast. I truly feel each age and stage is better then the last, but still don't want the current stage to pass.

Each Mother's Day I make a "blog book" so I print all the posts from the previous year. I provide a book to each of our parents and keep a nice hard back book for us. I get a sense of pride from keeping all these moments for our family (I feel it is something I actually do right). When Jackson was little it was just little stories or pictures, but now I feel like I could write a book about each day as each one he does something funny, silly or incredibly sweet and even at times frustrating.

So below are a few moments I want to remember for me and hopefully when Jackson's children are reading our family book one day they laugh at him, us and our attempts to be good parents.

Today....
Jackson went to preschool for just a few hours.

I picked up Jackson today and this is our conversation.
Mom "Did you have a good time at preschool Jackson?"
Jack "Absolutely Doggg"
Mom "Really?"
Jack "Don't mess with me Doggg"

Another frequent conversation
Jack "Mom I love you" "Mom your pretty"
Mom "Jackson your handsome and I love you"

Funny thing he is doing these day...
Jackson has a demo blackberry. Justin works for Tmobile so he is always on his phone and I am not much better with being on mine for work either. Jackson now state "I have a work call" gets his phone out of his pocket and walks around the house speaking total gibberish.
