An expereince

We had quiet an experience today. Jackson's preschool is closed so I took the day off to spend some time with Jackson and relax. It is nice to spend some time away from work and just enjoy Jackson. We have really been working with him on listening and following directions.

Today we ran a few errands which included a trip to the mall and a ride on the carousel. We were playing in the play area when we were directed to take cover as tornadoes were spotted in the area. We spent 45 minutes in a stock room at the mall. We were very lucky no one was hurt and no damage was done in our area. Jackson did so great sitting and being very patient.

Love my time with him and wish I had more days like today (minus the tornado scare).

Pretty Silly

This guy is so dang funny. After working on "projects" outside with Dad he took a shower. He then decided he would wear this "tank top" which is actually Justin's sleep mask (yes- Justin wears a sleep mask while I read at night.)
Here is a picture after he actually got dressed. We love to slick his hair back and make him look "fancy." He is becoming so independent, creative and so silly.

First Field Trip

Jackson went on his first field trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead. Although we go to Deanna Rose often this time he got to go with all his friends from preschool.... and the best part was that he got to ride a bus there! He was so excited to tell me that he got to ride a bus and he did not have to sit in a car seat. I volunteered to be a chaperon of the trip so I was able to join the fun too.
Today is Jackson's last day of preschool with his teacher Mrs. Bridges. I can't believe how much he has changed since the fall. This year was he learned what it was like to be in a classroom. It started out as a rough transition but he has done great and we are so thankful for his teacher. Soon he starts "Summer Camp" at Holy Cross too!
