Mother's Day

Jackson helped picked out a fabulous new SLR camera for me this Mother's Day. We purchased a Canon Rebel. It takes amazing pictures and is super quick! I am still in the process of learning to use it as it has lots of options. I am really enjoying it. I am determined to use it in manual setting with ease!!

We also ordered Jackson a new Bruley Bike Trailer and also picked him up a fancy helmet to keep his brains safe too! Justin and I both love to ride bikes and are excited to ride on the weekends as a family. Jackson LOVES being in the trailer. He is not as fond of the helmet but he will get use to it! Once we put him in the trailer for the first time he just started singing! Then he fell asleep. We enjoyed an hour and half ride this morning. There are great trails near our home. Justin has his SUV all set up so we can throw the bikes on top and take off. We are planning to ride most Saturday and Sunday mornings. Justin pulls the trailer. Several times today I heard Justin say... "Dude you are going on a diet." We figure it is about an extra 50 pounds he is pulling. It makes us about even as I am slow as it is!! We are very excited for this new family time hobby. It is also great since we know can spend Saturdays together!!

Unfortunately Jackson has not been feeling well. He has had a fever for about 24 hours but no other symptoms or issues. His fever got to 103.5 today. He seems to be a little better now but slept most of the day so is all out of wack with his naps.

I feel very lucky to have such a handsome little man and big man in my life.

Be sure to watch for lots more pictures as I am so excited for our new camera. Justin loves it too!

Jackson Bond

Jackson was the ring bearer in a friend's wedding this weekend. He did a great job walking down the aisle all smiles! He received lots of smiles from the ladies and lots of compliments. He was a busy boy the rest of the time so catching a picture with all the chaos was rough! We were so proud of him. He was very handsome and did well considering he didn't really know anyone there.

Happy Easter!

JVG 3 enjoyed Easter today with Mimi, Papa Freddie and Auntie Em. Jackson woke up to find all kinds of goodies from the Easter Bunny! We did an Egg Hunt with him around the house and he really seemed to get into the fun and figure it out. This is the first holiday he has been excited about opening gifts and figuring out what is inside of them. Both sets of grandparents went a little overboard with lots of fun gifts, including a HUGE stuffed bunny, a bunny that sings and of course what Easter is complete without an Easter Shark, along with lots of other toys, pjs and yummy treats.

We attended church this morning and then enjoyed a Brunch at a local restraunt! We had a full day and now Jackson is in the middle of a three hour nap!!!

Yesterday we visited a local farmstead/ petting zoo Jackson LOVED to feed the goats and got so close to them. He is not afraid of much. He is a silly, social little boy- we like to call him a maniac!!! He is getting the hang of saying Mama often too!!!

We are so greatful for all the great people in our life and are glad we were able to remember the reason for today as well as enjoy the fun pieces of the holiday too.

1st hair Cut

Jackson had his first hair cut today. It did not start off so well as you can tell my the first picture! I ended up holding him for most of the experience as he did not like sitting there by himself. He did pretty well on my lap. He just got a trim in the front and a bit more trimmed off the back as Justin insists he have long hair. He looks like a big boy! Overall it was not too traumatic.

Britney Concert

A post without Jackson....
Justin and I went to the Britney Spears concert here in KC for my 29th birthday! Fun times!! It was a great night. We went out to dinner, had drinks and danced at a night club. You would think we were 21! Until the next day when we were hurting! We had a great time. Thankful to my Parents for watching Jackson so we could get away. Also thankful for all our friends and family for the birthday wishes!

** I think almost every picture we took I was yelling like this in it!! Fabulous night!
